Our Story

Tallarook was established to provide an advisory model of high senior partner involvement based on deep sector expertise, lived executive and board experience. We understand that growing clean technology businesses and pivoting to a decarbonised future is a complex task that will require a multi-faceted response. We believe that co-building client specific solutions ultimately creates more values and successfully delivers your business outcome better than any rigid methodology or off-the-shelf advice At the heart of our work is a belief that sustainability is not only good business, it is essential for survival of modern organisations and thriving communities on an interconnected planet.

And that is why we named our advisory business Tallarook – after the Tallarook Ranges which were formed over 360 million years ago. “Tallarook” means the cry of the wattlebird in Taungurung language. The Taungurung are one of five clans that form the Kulin Nation in, what is today, central Victoria.

This land has been managed and cared for by its Traditional Owners, the Taungurung people, for tens of thousands of years, and the beauty and ecology of the landscape now is a direct result of their long-standing care and understanding.

Our family has also a inter-generational connection to land in the Tallarook Ranges. It is a place that inspires big picture perspectives with its soaring views and endless possibilities. It is a place that simultaneously invigorates and connects. It continues to provide the inspiration for unlocking the potential of those who advance the energy transition to net zero and creating a more sustainable and prosperous society
